Tips on How to Get Your Bond Back

MOVING HOUSE? AVOID THE STRESS

We understand that vacating a property can be stressful. We’ve come up with the following tips to help streamline the process and avoid any deductions taken from your bond.

  • Make sure any outstanding bills / rent owning is paid
  • Carpets and soft furnishings are professionally cleaned (make sure a copy of your receipt is sent to your Property Manager)
  • Review your in-going property condition report to ensure the house is in similar condition
  • Ensure all items are accounted for when vacating a furnished property
  • Follow the checklist provided by your property manager
  • Give yourself enough time to vacate a property and have it thoroughly cleaned – 1 day is not enough
  • Ensure your garden is in the same condition as to when you moved in
  • Make sure you have all keys that were handed to you when signing the lease
  • Good communication with your property manager is key. If you have any issues or require advice, get in touch!

Good luck with your next move!
